Hello Tubmlr,

Welcome to my 23rd year in paintball, After life got in the way last year I have a full season coming up and some big changes. I have been running two teams, Mass Destruction which I was a founder of back in the early 90s, and the Western Mass Regulators which was formed in 2008 to compete in the NPPL pump division and the New England Gravity league. Last year we lost some players off both squads, and Mass Destruction did not make it to an event. On top of that it was the first time since the NPPL Huntington Beach event back in 2008 that the Regulators failed to make the finals. We suffered some setbacks and after some heavy contemplation myself and the surviving members decided to join up with the guys From New Hampshire Blizard to create a new team. I will be playing for New England Origin for the coming season In the Gravity League, NEPL pump division, and a few NPPL and PSP events. Our goal is the create New England’s premier pump team.

Hello Tumblr, Life Behind Lenses is moving forward.

After messing with a friends tumblr account I decided to move here from www.lifebehindlenses.blogspot.com (my first attempt at a blog that I have been adding to since 2008) The name came from most of the things in my life requiring some form of eye protection or lens in front of my face. Be it paintball, or motorsports, or machine work and fabrication I spend most of my life looking through lexan or camera lenses.

If anybody wants to follow that’s cool, you will get the almost incoherent rantings of a guy who has been in a love/hate relationship with paintball for over half his life.

You might get some tech videos, advice for players just starting out, reviews of gear and info on events I will be playing.

I have been in this godforsaken sport for 23 years…. The first game I played was with a nelspot 007 in the woods of Westfield Massachusetts in Feb. of 1989 since then I have been involved with everything from being a rec player, to national tournament play, to being a store owner, to co owning a custom shop manufacturing markers and gear.

In 2005 my daughter was born, I took a giant step away from paintball I started playing only a couple times a year and to tell the truth I was burnt out, I was sick of the cheating and politics that came along with it. And then In 2008 I almost retired from playing completely. it just so happens at the same time two good friends were coming up with the concept for the New England Gravity League. I promised them that I would put together a 3 man team and give it a shot before I hung it up for good. That’s all it took I was hooked back in! The Gravity League format saved my Paintball life.
